Meet a Member: A Series of Fireside Chats with WARP Members
For our June Fireside Chat, we will be joined by WARP Member Molly Martin!
Molly Martin is a woman of many talents: seamstress, nurse, elementary school teacher in Monrovia, Liberia, and eventually African art and textile aficionado. She has worked at the Smithsonian, studied at Harvard, taught at UMass/Lowell, and shared her vast knowledge with both children and adults in settings that have included schools, weaving groups, colleges, museums, art camps, teachers’ conferences, and, of course, WARP meetings. If you want a preview, watch Molly as a panelist for WARP’s Sept. 2021 Continuing Textile Traditions: The Peace Corps Experience in Africa. And if you want a good chance to listen to Molly tell her story and respond to your questions, join us when she is our guest for our June Meet a Member – Fireside Chat.
WARP Members are invited to join us for this Fireside Chat with Molly on Thursday, June 8th at 3:00 pm US Eastern Time. Please register to receive the zoom link.
Please note that these programs will be recorded and shared on the password-protected members only section of the WARP website for interested members to watch later. By registering for this event, you agree to be recorded.
This is a free event, limited to WARP members only. If you would like to attend, please join WARP here.
