Meet a Member: A Series of Fireside Chats with WARP Members

This program is a series of monthly Fireside Chats (on Zoom) with a different WARP member each month. To keep these conversations intimate, each session will be limited to 25 participants. (This month with three sessions to choose from, two in English and one in Spanish.)
Our May Meet a Member Fireside Chat will be with Vanina Bujalter, who has been a WARP Member since 2013. Vanina was born in Buenos Aires. She has a degree in Psychology, but she found her true calling and has been dedicated to Textile Arts and Crafts for more than 35 years. At age fifteen, she began studying with her mother, Mimi Bujalter, one of the outstanding artists within the Argentine Textile Art Movement, and Founder of the Argentine Centre of Textile Art. With Mimi, Vanina studied classic and modern textile techniques, fiber dyeing, felt techniques, and handmade papermaking. Vanina has taught and exhibited throughout Argentina and internationally. Her work has won many awards, including the UNESCO Seal of Excellence for Handicrafts, and can be seen in museums and private collections around the world. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Please only register if you are certain you can attend, to ensure no one misses the opportunity to participate. If the event is full, please register for the waitlist and we will notify you if space opens up. (And if we get a very long waitlist, we will add an additional session.) Please note that these programs will be recorded and shared on the members only section of the WARP website for interested members to watch later.

Este programa será conversaciones casuales, Fireside Chats, por Zoom, con miembros diferentes cada mes. Para mantenerlas íntimas, cada sesión será limitada a 25 participantes, con tres sesiones como opciones, dos en inglés y una en español.
En mayo, nuestro “Fireside Chat” para conocer a un miembro será con Vanina Bujalter, quien ha sido miembro de WARP desde 2013. Vanina nació en Buenos Aires. Es licenciada en Psicología, pero encontró su verdadera vocación y se dedica a las Artes y Oficios Textiles desde hace más de 35 años. A los quince años comenzó a estudiar con su madre, Mimi Bujalter, una de las artistas más destacadas dentro del Movimiento de Arte Textil Argentino, y Fundadora del Centro Argentino de Arte Textil. Con Mimi, Vanina estudió técnicas textiles clásicas y modernas, teñido de fibras, técnicas de fieltro y fabricación de papel artesanal. Vanina ha enseñado y exhibido en toda Argentina e internacionalmente. Su trabajo ha ganado muchos premios, incluido el Sello de Excelencia de Artesanía de la UNESCO, y se puede ver en museos y colecciones privadas de todo el mundo. Por el hecho que es cupo limitado, por favor inscribirse sólo si cree que puede asistir para estar seguro que nadie pierda la oportunidad de participar. Si el evento está lleno, por favor ponga su nombre en la lista de espera y le notificaremos si un espacio se abre. Si tenemos una lista de espera muy larga podríamos crear una sesión adicional. Nota: las sesiones van estar grabadas y compartidas en la página de nuestra website para Solamente Miembros (Members Only) entonces miembros interesados pueden verlas más tarde.
